Jumping on the trail! This pony is such a blast.
Thank you chase-me-charlie for making the gifs!
My friend came by this afternoon to drop off a gift, but we ended up talking for almost four hours. So I guess I didn’t do any school work today

7E Guest Artist - Robert Strati
New York based artist Robert Strati’s series “Creating Civilizations” recently grabbed my attention with it’s architectural and schematic like detail. Being an engineer myself, I’m drawn to these kind of drawings naturally. Coincidentally i’m currently reading the post-apocalyptic scifi series wool & shift and the drawings somehow remind me of the descriptions of silos. Robert’s inspiration for these drawings is interesting indeed:
“We were sitting on the couch, and I felt a little dizzy, like if you get up from a chair too fast. It kept happening, then in 10 minutes the room was spinning. I couldn’t see straight. From my perspective everything was shaking really fast.” Robert had been struck with Labyrinthitis, an inner ear disorder that causes dizziness and vertigo … then on the day of the birth of his son he was struck with ”ideas about relating the structure of civilizations.”
He also has a great series called Hover that utilizes vinyl helium balloons and wire forms. Robert’s wife comments that his work gives off an overall sense of calm which I agree.
